Chia-Ying is pleased to have been named one of the three finalists for the triennial competition ‘Luciano Berio’ International Composition Competition 2022, for which she receives an honorable mention. The competition is organised by the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in partnership with Luciano Berio Study Center as well as 3 other major orchestras.
The competition awards one Winner with a commission worth 20,000 euros to be performed by the orchestra of the Santa Cecilia, La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, RAI National Symphony Orchestra and Teatro Carlo Felice. The competition is in association with the World Federation of International Music Competitions (WFIMC).
The Jury is chaired by Sir Antonio Pappano, Luca Francesconi, Tania León, Michael Jarrell and Hilda Paredes. Chia-Ying is grateful for the recognition from the esteemed jury members.

林佳瑩榮獲義大利三年一度的「魯加諾˙貝里奧」國際管弦樂作曲比賽之榮譽獎，為決賽前三名中最年輕作曲家，其他兩名皆來自義大利。
該比賽以義大利近代作曲巨擘Luciano Berio命名，由義大利權威機構「聖濟其利亞國家學院」管絃樂團主辦，並聯合貝里奧研究中心與義大利史卡拉樂團、國家廣播樂團、卡洛費利切劇院三大樂團辦理。比賽名稱獲得Berio家族後裔認可。
首獎作曲家將獲得二萬歐元獎金以及管弦樂曲委託創作，並由義大利四大頂尖樂團演出。
該比賽屬於國際音樂比賽世界聯合會 (WFIMC)活動。主審為義大利/英國知名指揮帕帕諾(Sir Antonio Pappano)以及由四位國際級作曲家L. Francesconi、M. Jarrell 、H. Paredes、T. León組成之評審團。
